Rothenberg Capital Management is a leading Canadian wealth management firm. Our Wealth Management Advisors provide unbiased, transparent, and holistic planning solutions, including but not limited to tax, investment and retirement planning.

The firm started as a Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) and life insurance broker in 1979 under the name Rothenberg & Rothenberg Annuities Ltd.

In 1986, Rothenberg Capital Management was incorporated as the sister company of Rothenberg & Rothenberg with the goal of offering clients access to the markets of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds in addition to independent wealth management solutions.

Today, both companies exist and operate across Canada.

Jack Rothenberg founded Rothenberg Capital Management as a response to the growing demand for more progressive investments. He retired in 2018, and Robert Rothenberg became CEO.

Rothenberg Capital Management has a nationwide reach, working with thousands of clients from coast to coast. As of 2021, the firm is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and counts a total of six locations across Canada. Its other locations include Calgary, Ottawa and Kelowna.

Rothenberg Capital Management is a member of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and a member of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund (CIPF), which protects each client’s account for up to $1 million if the member firm becomes insolvent. The firm we use for our back office administration, National Bank Independent Network (NBIN), is also covered by CIPF.

Our Wealth Management Advisors are all paid a salary, in addition to commissions, so that they are compensated for the service they provide to you instead of focusing only on sales and the transactions that take place.

We don’t have any of our own internal products allowing us to remain completely independent in providing recommendations that are in line with your specific goals and objectives.

We begin the discovery process finding out about your specific goals and needs relating to family, occupation, recreation, and money.

We design a customized plan for you that encompasses tax, estate, insurance and legacy planning. Your risk tolerance level is measured ahead of time combined with your investment experience, and time horizon for specific goals related but not limited to education, home purchase, asset purchase, business startup, recreation, and retirement.

Once your plan has been designed, a meeting is set up to fine tune the recommendations and discuss deployment of the various pieces.
